Once again welcome to a webpage inspired by my dear lady wife. Truly my helper from God! She was reading the recent Addendum 1 to my
Unholy Matrimony paper. In response, she said that clearly homosexual behaviour is wrong in the eyes of God but the paper says nothing about paedophiles and their sinful behaviour of child sexual abuse. I stumbled over this and muttered that the Bible did not have much to say on this subject. Subsequently, I wondered if my comment was even half accurate. I discussed this with the Lords’ Witnesses President, Gordon, who agreed that the scriptures did not seem to be overflowing on this specific subject. So once again I am on a quest to search out the scriptures on this horribly sinful topic; a quest provoked by my earthly helper. Amen.
 

Protecting the Innocent


There are several scriptures that require us to take due care of children, whether they are our own or those of others. Let us start out by looking at what the wise King Solomon has to say on the matter:

3 Behold! Children [are] an inheritance of Jehovah; the fruit of the womb [is His] reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so [are] the sons of the young.
5 Blessed [is] the man who has filled his quiver with them; they shall not be ashamed, for they shall speak with their enemies in the gate. (Psalms 127 GLT)


In the above Psalm, Solomon is telling us that children are a blessing from God, a statement that, as a father, I can personally attest to. I would not want to be the paedophile that abuses another’s blessing from God or, indeed perhaps worse, if that abuser should be the child’s own father.

6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22 KJV)

The above verse is mainly aimed at a child’s parents but also will apply to his teachers, mentors and, indeed, any adult that may have an impact, good or bad, on a child’s upbringing. If such an adult should be an abusing paedophile, then the latter will be running counter to Solomon’s wisdom. Whilst this verse is not in itself a matter of Law, it would surely be an unwise act, at the least, to go against a child’s good upbringing.

Next up we have this from the Gospel of Matthew:

2 And Jesus having called near a child, did set him in the midst of them,
3 and said, 'Verily I say to you, if ye may not be turned and become as the children, ye may not enter into the reign of the heavens;
4 whoever then may humble himself as this child, he is the greater in the reign of the heavens.
5 And he who may receive one such child in my name, doth receive me,
6 and whoever may cause to stumble one of those little ones who are believing in me, it is better for him that a weighty millstone may be hanged upon his neck, and he may be sunk in the depth of the sea.
7 'Woe to the world from the stumbling-blocks! for there is a necessity for the stumbling-blocks to come, but woe to that man through whom the stumbling-block doth come!' (Matthew 18 YLT)

10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 18 KJV)


The main thrust of the above verses is aimed at Jesus’ followers who should try to behave as spiritually innocent children. However, from our experience of the
True Bible Code, we know that the scriptures are multi-dimensional so I believe these verses are also referring to physical children. Those young ones would not likely have developed a true faith in Jesus. However, abuse by a paedophile could easily stumble one such from becoming a faithful follower of our Lord. I think Jesus’ words would apply to those sinners, their punishment on Judgement Day being severe to put it mildly. Being the cause of one of these little ones to stumble, whether already faithful or not yet having had the opportunity to become so, would likely be treated as a capital offence by our God.

In like manner we also have this from Luke:

2 It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble. (Luke 17 ASV)

And in similar vein we have this from the Gospel of Mark:

36 And he took a little child, and set him in the midst of them: and taking him in his arms, he said unto them,
37 Whosoever shall receive one of such little children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever receiveth me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me. (Mark 9 ASV)

13 And they brought children to Him, that He might touch them. But the disciples rebuked those carrying [them].
14 But seeing, Jesus was indignant. And He said to them, Allow the children to come to Me, and do not hinder them. For of such is the kingdom of God.
15 Truly I say to you, Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a child may not enter into it, never.
16 And having taken them in [His] arms, laying hands on them, He blessed them. (Mark 10 GLT)


Our Lord clearly has much love of the innocence of children and would wish all the faithful to follow their example. I think it goes without saying that if anyone would do harm to these little ones, particularly if it caused them to lose faith in our Lords, then woe betide him:

13 Then young children were brought to him, for him to put his hands upon them and offer prayer; but the disciples reprimanded them.
14 Jesus, however, said: Let the young children alone, and stop hindering them from coming to me, for the kingdom of the heavens belongs to suchlike ones. (Matthew 19 NWT)

15 Now people began to bring him also their infants for him to touch these; but on seeing it the disciples began to reprimand them.
16 However, Jesus called the [infants] to him, saying: Let the young children come to me, and do not try to stop them. For the kingdom of God belongs to suchlike ones.
17 Truly I say to you, Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a young child will by no means get into it. (Luke 18 NWT)

1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; (Ephesians 5 KJV)


Clearly an abuser of a child will not be receiving an innocent child in Christ’s name so will not likely see the Kingdom of God unless he should genuinely repent of and desist in his abusive behaviour.

Whilst the following specific Law on child sacrifice to the false god Molech (check out my
Idolatry paper) would not strictly be classified as the actions of a paedophile, it represents the ultimate abuse of one’s own offspring. Hopefully there are not too many active worshippers of Molech, or other similar cults, alive today:

21 And thou shalt not give any of thy seed to make them pass through [the fire] to Molech; neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah. (Leviticus 18 ASV)

If not an abuser, it is incumbent upon us all to offer comfort to those afflicted little ones, although I would have to say that the comforting of sexually abused children may be best handled by those properly qualified to do so. However, even a lay person of faith should be able to offer these ones some comfort in advance of more professional help:

3 Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. (2 Corinthians 1 KJV)


The Prophet Isaiah warns those that may make rules of justice that do not protect the vulnerable of society including orphaned children. It is the duty of our society to ensure those ones are properly protected. Any persons guilty of not supporting proper edicts for the vulnerable ones will find themselves in a bit of bother from our God:

17 Learn to do good, seek justice, straighten the oppressor, judge the orphan, strive for the widow. (Isaiah 1 GLT)

1 Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that write perverseness;
2 to turn aside the needy from justice, and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
3 And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from far? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory? (Isaiah 10 ASV)


We have a similar message from the Prophet Jeremiah. This was aimed explicitly at the House of Judah. However, it should also be taken by anyone who abuses or allows abuse to take place on the vulnerable, again including orphaned children:

3 So says Jehovah, Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one robbed from the oppressor's hand. And do not oppress the alien, the widow, or the orphan, and do not do violence nor shed innocent blood in this place.
4 For if you indeed do this thing, then there shall enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he and his servants and his people.
5 But if you will not hear these Words, I swear by Myself, says Jehovah, that this house shall become a ruin. (Jeremiah 22 GLT)


And from the Palmist Asaph:

3 Judge ye the weak and fatherless, The afflicted and the poor declare righteous.
4 Let the weak and needy escape, From the hand of the wicked deliver them. (Psalms 82 YLT)


This message is continued in the New Testament with these verses from James’ epistle:

21 Wherefore putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. (James 1 ASV)

27 religion pure and undefiled with the God and Father is this, to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation -- unspotted to keep himself from the world. (James 1 YLT)


Similarly, we have this from the prophet Micah, who tells us that God requires us to be kind to those in need. This will certainly include abused children:

8 He hath declared to thee, O man, what {is} good; Yea, what is Jehovah requiring of thee, Except -- to do judgment, and love kindness, And lowly to walk with thy God? (Micah 6 YLT)

Also abused children may not have a voice to describe their experiences. It is for those seeking justice on their behalf to provide that voice. How many cases do we see in the media of such crimes not being exposed until much later in the abused ones lives? And what of those that we will never know of until judgement day?

8 Open thy mouth for the dumb, In the cause of all such as are left desolate.
9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, And minister justice to the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31 ASV)


 

Condemnation of Fleshly Acts


The scriptures in the previous section could well be interpreted to include acts of paedophilia. The following selection are less specific but, nonetheless, offer condemnation for all acts of the flesh that clearly go against the way of the Spirit. Jesus’ own words identify the many evil traits that may proceed out of a man. Child sexual abuse would be covered by several of these items I think:

20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. (Mark 7 KJV)


This from Paul’s letter to the congregation in Galatia is another such example:

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, (Galatians 5 ASV)

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. (Galatians 6 KJV)


In a possibly more pointed scripture to the Corinthian congregation, Paul condemns all sexual activity outside of the confines of the marital status of a man and his wife. Clearly child sexual abuse would fall well outside of these allowed bounds:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (1 Corinthians 6 KJV)

13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. (1 Corinthians 6 KJV)

18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. (1 Corinthians 6 KJV)


Paul’s comments seem to follow on from Mark’s Gospel:

17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: (Matthew 15 KJV)


Similarly in Paul’s letter to the congregation at Ephesus:

3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;
4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.
5 For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. (Ephesians 5 ASV)


And more on the same theme in his first letter to the congregation at Thessalonica:

3 For this is the will of God, [even] your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication;
4 that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
5 not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God;
6 that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in the matter: because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.
7 For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification. (1 Thessalonians 4 ASV)


In his letter to the Hebrews, Paul condemns all sexual relationships outside of the marriage bed. Child abusers would surely be included in this condemnation:

4 Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. (Hebrews 13 KJV)

In a more general statement on sinful ways, Paul tells the Ephesian congregation that wicked acts, carried out in the dark, will be brought out into the light for due punishment. Clearly the crime of child abuse would fit into this category:

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. (Ephesians 5 KJV)


Certainly, the damage that an early abuse can have on a soul can last a lifetime. Even the wise King Solomon cannot find a cure in this life:

14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? (Proverbs 18 KJV)
 


Judgement and Justice


As a parent myself, I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to be the parent of an abused child. The feelings of anger towards the perpetrator and those that did not provide adequate protection and oversight for their child’s safety must be enormous. However, to those parents Paul tells them not to take the law into their own hands. As difficult as it might be, they should allow the judgement of this world to take its due course in the knowledge that the final punishment will come from our Lord (check out the
Punishment and Vengeance paper):

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (Romans 12 KJV)

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:
4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil. (Romans 13 KJV)


The Gospels give a similar message to the abused and their loved ones:

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6 KJV)

37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: (Luke 6 KJV)


And this from the wise King Solomon to give hope for justice in this and the life to come for the abused ones:

17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for [there is] a time there for every purpose and for every work. (Ecclesiastes 3 KJV)

15 It is joy to the righteous to do justice; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
16 The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding Shall rest in the assembly of the dead.
17 He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: He that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. (Proverbs 21 ASV)


Whatever the earthly fate of an abused child may be, God will help that one in the fullness of time. Full justice will be effected with due punishment meted out to the perpetrators of that abuse:

18 Jehovah [is] near to the broken of heart; and He saves the crushed of spirit. (Psalms 34 GLT)

1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me; because Jehovah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to them that are bound;
2 to proclaim the year of Jehovah's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; (Isaiah 61 ASV)
 


Strange Flesh


In the recently published Addendum 1 to the
Unholy Matrimony paper, I draw the comparison between homosexuality and bestiality. I think now that I can go one step further by extending that comparison to include child sexual abuse. It is worth mentioning that our Church President, Gordon, wrote a paper some time ago relating homosexual behaviour with paedophilia which I reference a little later in this section. So, these unnatural sexual appetites seem to be closely related.

Scripture would also seem to support this notion. The following piece from the hand of Jude, Jesus’ own brother, covers much of this ground. He condemns lascivious behaviour, which term would relate to any sexually deviant activity. He goes on to talk about the demons coming down to have relations with human women; a clear case of bestiality by the demons. This is then followed by mention of Sodom and Gomorrah and their going after ‘strange flesh’:

4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.
6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1 KJV)


If we now go back to the account of Lot and the two angels that visited him in Sodom, we can tease out further meanings to support the above notion. When the Sodomites surrounded Lot’s home, the crowd are described as comprising boys to old men. This suggests to me that young boys had been abused and given the taste for unnatural sexual behaviour at an early age. Most commentators, including myself until now, would deem the crowd were homosexual in nature in wanting to have sexual relations with the two strangers. However, those two strangers were angels, so it is arguable that the Sodomites wanted to have unnatural sex with angels. This could be deemed to be a form of bestiality. More evidence perhaps of the relationship of homosexual behaviour with child sexual abuse and bestiality:

1 Now the 2 angels arrived at Sodom by evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot caught sight of them, then he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the earth.
2 And he proceeded to say: Please, now, my lords, turn aside, please, into the house of your servant and stay overnight and have your feet washed. Then you must get up early and travel on your way. To this they said: No, but in the public square is where we shall stay overnight.
3 But he was very insistent with them, so that they turned aside to him and came into his house. Then he made a feast for them, and he baked unfermented cakes, and they went to eating.
4 Before they could lie down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, from boy to old man, all the people in one mob.
5 And they kept calling out to Lot and saying to him: Where are the men who came in to you tonight? Bring them out to us that we may have intercourse with them. (Genesis 19 NWT)


As I indicated earlier, the LW Church President, Gordon, wrote a paper confirming the statistical link between homosexuality and paedophilia at:
The Massive Statistical Link Between Homosexuality And Paedophilia. Since this references several secular studies on the subject, I will let the subject rest there as far as this paper is concerned. Similarly, having spent a (very short!) amount of time looking for links between bestiality and homosexual behaviour, I decided to stick with what I have already provided, for my own peace of mind! I suggest the reader does likewise!

Paul acknowledges that the lust of the flesh is strong and that if one cannot resist the temptations of the flesh, then one needs must be married. However, this represents a cure for what I might describe as ‘normal’ sexual feelings (check out the
Fleshly Desires paper). I do not believe that this would be a fix for any unnatural requirements:

8 Now I say to the unmarried persons and the widows, it is well for them that they remain even as I am.
9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry, for it is better to marry than to be inflamed [with passion]. (1 Corinthians 7 NWT)
 

 

Prevalence of Paedophiles in Religious Organisations


I think most people are aware of the prevalence of cases of paedophilia in various religious organisations. The following report summary provides that substantiation for the UK:

This is clearly a global issue across many religious orders and, whilst not the only church guilty of these crimes, the Roman Catholic Church comes up as a particularly prevalent example. And just for the record this is how the Jehovah’s Witnesses compare on this issue:

In his first epistle to the Corinthian congregation, Paul warns against fornicators within the ranks of the church:

9 I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;
10 not at all [meaning] with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:
11 but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.
12 For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Put away the wicked man from among yourselves. (1 Corinthians 5 ASV)


Also, if we were to suspect that there are children at risk from a predator it is our duty to investigate the matter to protect them as we see fit. Churches of all denominations clearly need to take this on board:

11 if you hold back to deliver those being taken to death, and [those] stumbling for killing.
12 For you say, Behold, we did not know this. Does not He who weighs the heart consider it? And the One who keeps your soul, does He [not] know? Yea, He repays to a man according to his work. (Proverbs 24 GLT)


John, the apostle, had some coded insight into the sexual crimes committed within the Christian community of the 1st century. Whilst this is a highly symbolic scripture, I believe that a literal meaning is also to be taken from it. Nothing seems to have changed in 2,000 years; what a surprise:

18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet [are] like fine brass;
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last [to be] more than the first.
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. (Revelation 2 KJV)


So why is paedophilia so prevalent in religious organisations? On reading the above literature on the subject, I think the reasons are pretty obvious. Religious orders are supposed to provide a safe environment for children’s spiritual education and activities. That education and those activities will be supervised by adults with considerable responsibilities and standing within their order. The supervision provided can well be on a one-to-one basis thereby providing opportunity for the miscreant. People would not previously have associated a religious education with a risk of child abuse. That is clearly changing, given the publicity this issue has received over the last few decades.

Also, the religious order will attempt to protect the perpetrator, since to do otherwise would directly expose that order to serious criticism and possible criminal charges. Given all this, it seems to me that prospective paedophiles will make a beeline to become a member of a religious order. It will give them access to children in an environment that will likely protect its officials from charges of child abuse. What a sorry state of affairs! No wonder religion has such a bad name and is likely largely to blame for a lack of faith within our communities at large.

Well, I guess we cannot say that we were not warned by John about the sins of the Roman Catholic Church:

1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17 KJV)

 

Conclusion


I think this piece of research has panned out as I had expected. There are no direct scriptures which openly state that child sexual abuse is not to be allowed.
